I painted some Buddlejas (butterfly flowers) from my Australian garden in an amber glass jar. It's pretty similar to lilacs, and for ease, I named it Lilacs in an Amber Glass.
I am quite happy with it, as I wanted to capture the glow from the amber glass reflecting on the lilacs, which you can see in the bottom right corner.
I am definitely going to paint lilacs over and over.

Another quick study of garden lemons in a delft blue bowl on a lace placemat for my fruit painting series.

I quite enjoyed doing the small painting and will be doing few more of these.I loved pairing the yellows and blues in this painting and very happy with the result.

Still working on that fruit painting series, you know.  I painted some juicy red apples on a fruit platter with a stand.  I really liked the crisp white and red together in this one. It's square, gives it a bit of a modern feel. Sometimes, one painting with bold color is all you need for a gallery wall at home.  This one works with lots of different styles, which is cool.

I did a simple quick study of pomegranate still life.I was so taken by their luscious colour that I decided to veer from my usual floral painting.

This one turned out to be good although I do agree that creating form with red is tricky.

I have been missing in a blog field but my painting journey has been in full speed.I also sold few paintings over the holiday period which was good encouragement for me.

I did paint another one of these iceberg roses in a teal ceramic.Its a small painting and I just wanted to focus on greens.

I quite liked it and happy with the result.

I painted some yellow Daffodils in a vase  while ago.I complemented the yellow Daffodils with almost turquoise colour background and was quite happy with the result.
This particular painting is done on an 8 by 10 inch panel and is sold.
I'll definitely be painting more of these happy,cheery Daffodils!

I am back to my lovely roses. I painted some David Austin roses with carnations in a glass vase. I used a square format again, and my main area of struggle was the carnations, as I couldn't capture their deep red color and had to keep coming back to it. I guess I'll be painting more carnations until I get it right.

Another oil painting from my Hydrangeas series. This time it's Amaryllis with Hydrangeas, as I wanted to pair vibrant orange, blues, and purple. It's done on a square format as well. I was getting into the mood of Hampton-style decor before painting this.

I have been busy painting lots of summer flowers here in Sydney. This particular one is from my hydrangeas series. I paired it with lilacs in a Delft vase; it's done on a square format. It gave me great joy to paint the various shades of blue and purple. I hope you like it!
